Web Accessibility Statement

Commitment to Accessibility

We use WCAG 2.1 level AA as our primary guide as directed by the Justice Department.

We also understand that web design is constantly changing and that accessibility standards and best practices are modified regularly. We will continue to make modifications as needed to improve accessibility and meet our patron’s unique needs.

Accessibility Efforts

We communicated this with our web designer and followed their recommendations on color contrast, structure for pages, headings and links, among other things. Our web designer also used various tests to check accessibility and make modifications as needed.

Limited testing done in February of 2026 by a Trusted Tester. Several tweaks were made to improve accessibility as recommended.

Work in Progress

• Forms. We have several PDF forms posted on our website. These forms are rarely used and we do not believe it is cost-effective to convert them to a more accessible format at this time. If you need help filling out these forms, please call or come into the library and we would be happy to assist you.
• Other PDFs. We have other PDFs that are not compatible with screen readers.
